Teamwork

There seem to be a lot of analogies when it comes to ‘teamwork’.

1.  TEAM – Together Everyone Achieves More

2.  There is no “I” in TEAM.

And of course, there are many, many more.

None of them actually captures the true essence of leading a team or working within a team.  That’s likely because you really can’t explain what it takes to succeed as a team with a catch-phrase or a slogan or a creative one-liner.

How do you capture the essence of supporting leadership, taking initiative, coaching new members, taking advice from the experienced, understanding your role as a team member and celebrating group achievements in a one-line phrase?  I don’t think you can capture the essence of  ‘team’ with a slogan.

However, I do believe that this video is a pretty good analogy and it only takes about three minutes to watch.

Click the video on the right side of this page titled “Pulling Together”.

Three minutes well spent, I’d say.
